I finally took pictures of my kawaii Christmas presents. Although I forgot to take one of my 3DS (>_<). I also forgot to take pictures of the awesome presents that my sister got me from her trip to Alberta. I guess I'll have to take those pictures the same time I show off my 3DS.
Let's start with my Christmas presents. My sister got me all these adorable plushes from Japan. I had asked my friend (and mostly buyer) from Japan to look for these plushes for me and she managed to find them all! She threw in the white frog, called Tsuginohi Kerori (Tomorrow Frog) as a Christmas gift for me. She's a really sweet person as this isn't the first time that she went off to look for things to fulfill my endless kawaii addiction. The story with Tsuginohi Kerori is that he is actually white but when he's sad, or sick, he turns green. Once he's happy or feeling better again, he resumes his normal white colour. Only San-x can think of characters like that.
The two bunnies dressed in costumes and the bear dressed...as a bear, are called usazukins. They basically dress up as adorable animals. That's all I know about them and I think they're uncommon. Not totally sure about that though. Either way, they're super cute!
Then there's grandfather Kapibara-san! I absolutely love the Kapibara-san series, they're too adorable and what's cuter than an old Kapibara? I find Granpa Kapi especially endearing and cute with his white eyebrows and little white mustache. For some reason, he reminds me of my grandfather, who sadly passed away a year ago. I don't know why it reminds me of him, since he neither had white hair nor a mustache.
Then, there's the gift from my sister's boyfriend. He bought me a set of limited edition sanrio plushies. These plushes were released for Sanrio's 50th anniversary. I totally love the packaging of it!
Next comes one of Alex's gifts, it was a really cute dinosaur pouch that I've had my eye on for a while. I was really surprised that he got it for him since I had mentioned that it would be perfect for my camera (hint hint nudge nudge) but he usually doesn't pick up on these things. What was even more surprising was that he copied and sent the link to himself so that he could remember where to buy it. As I previously mentioned, he usually fails to pick up these things or he just chooses to ignore my "This is so cute! (therefore I want it)" comments.
On the day that my sister came back from Alberta, one of the huge kawaii purchases that I bought before my New Year Resolutions came into effect arrived! I was surprised at how quick it came, it arrived two days after the seller shipped them and she lived in New York!
This adorable kitty onigri plush was too cute and unsual for me to pass up! I had never seen it before and although I'm not a big fan of cats, it's kawaii had worked it magic on me. It was bigger than I thought it'd be, which is always good (more value for your money!).
The next items are called usadangos. I previously made a post about them. I had been looking for them everywhere and they're really impossible to find so image my reaction when I found this shop that had them.
I also purchased two furry Hannari Tofu plushes. They're smaller than the regular ones but they were too cute to resist. Alex had bought me two for Christmas a few years ago (another one of my surprises where he actually pays attention to the kawaii that I like).
Finally, there are the two Nemuneko figurines. I believe Nemuneko means "sleepy cat" in Japanese. From what I understand of the characters, they're basically lazy cats that sleep all the time, looking totally kawaii the whole time.
I actually had more stuff to post but I think this post is long enough. Don't want to reveal everything at once! Enjoy the kawaiiness kawaii lovers!
