Happy very late New Year everyone! It's been extremely hectic on my end with the renovations and the move. Our new place needed tons of work and since Alex works full time, we were only able to work during the weekends. I did whatever I could during the week but a lot of it required some degree of handymanship (which I do not have at all) so I needed to wait for Alex to do it.

There was also tons of waiting (we painted and coughed like crazy. I seriously wouldn't recommend you to paint/sand/varnish etc during the winter. It's HORRIBLE, I haven't been breathing properly since) since we need to paint a million coats and they needed to dry etc. 

Good news is it's READY! Finally, Alex and I are hosting a dinner this Sunday with both our families (will be crowded but oh well) and I'll have a post about our new place soon!

shop announcement (and apology for no posts)

Happy New Year everyone! I hope the beginning of 2015 has been good to you so far. I've been extremely busy with the renovations of our new place and of the course, that week and a half during the holidays is a good excuse as any not to do anything (I tried to do nothing but didn't really work out that way). 

This is just a short shop announcement, lame I know but I'll have a proper post hopefully today. If not today, then next week for sure.

Please also spread the word as many other Storenvy shop owners are having difficulties with Stripe. It's not the shop owners' fault as Storenvy decided to force everyone to have this system. We as store owners try our best to provide the best customer service and Stripe will slow everything down so please just pay by Paypal. Otherwise, we'll have to wait for the payment to be cleared and/or wait for Stripe to get involved which will take a long time and we cannot ship your package until then. Small post today, but I just found out that San-x made a mini line of travel accessories. I love the little see-through pouches and those compact mirrors are to die for. The compact toothbrush is a nifty idea but I always bring whatever toothbrush I'm currently using and just put it in a zip-lock bag, nothing fancy but I don't see the point of taking a brand new toothbrush for just travelling. It'll take me years to completely use it up (and it'd probably stink).

Hi everyone! So just a really short post but inky drop is raising money to make these adorable plush. They're called Tentario! It features Ika the Squid, Jellyblub the Jellyfish and Sweetoof the Octopus. She's also trying to raise funds for an adorable narwhale called Starwhal.

zombbet: new san-x character

I want to thank everyone for your support and advice concerning my previous post. To be honest, I was surprised by the amount of kindness and tips I received. Since then, I have been eating well and have cut back on the amount I eat and even though there aren't any visible changes (at least to my mind's eye), I feel a lot better about myself. That's not to say that I'm not self-conscious, I still am but I just feel healthier. Hopefully, I'll be able to continue eating better and exercising some self-restraint (or actually just start exercising) so I'll be able to achieve my goal of being comfortable with my body again. Thanks everyone, you've been extremely supportive and helpful!

So let's move onto the topic of this post which is a new San-x character! It's called Zombbet but I'm not sure if that's referring to one particular character or if it's the name of a character line.

kawaii presents from florence

Oh wow, so many things happened in the two weeks! We lost power on Wednesday from 5 PM until 11 something (I went to bed at 9:30 PM) and lost power again on Thursday from 3 PM to 8:30 PM (thankfully, I was out and the power had returned just when I got home). I got food poisoning since Friday morning and I'm still trying to fight off the illness. The only good thing about is I'm losing weight and I took a day and a half off work.

I also apologize profusely for my lack of posts, as I mentioned, I wasn't motivated to blog and I've been playing Animal Crossing like CRAZY! I am on a MISSION MAKE MY TOWN UBER AMAZING! This includes constantly weeding out undesirable villagers, especially now I have learned a trick to get the villager you want in the location you want them in! It takes a lot of patience and diligence though.

Anyway, for those of you who liked my FB page (go do it now if you haven't), you'll remember (maybe?) that I posted about some kawaii goodies Flo bought me from Japan. Well, I finally decided to get off my butt and make a post about it.
